What the Extension does

RunProof StoreWalk is a Chrome extension that analyzes Amazon product detail pages — on the United States (amazon.com), Canada (amazon.ca), and Mexico (amazon.com.mx) marketplaces — to surface AI-search discoverability gaps and generate a listing quality score with actionable rewrites. The Extension activates only on product detail pages on those domains.

This version of the Extension does NOT analyze Walmart, Target, or any non-Amazon retailer.

What data we collect

When a licensed user visits a supported product page, the Extension reads publicly visible product listing information from the page, including:

This data is used solely to generate a listing quality score and actionable recommendations for the user.

How data is processed

Listing data is sent to our analysis API at api.runproof.run over HTTPS for scoring and AI-enhanced analysis. The API processes the data and returns scores, findings, and suggested improvements to the Extension in real time.

What is stored locally

The Extension stores the following in Chrome's extension-isolated local storage (chrome.storage.local):

No listing data is persisted locally. Scores and findings exist only in memory for the duration of the browser tab session.

What is stored on our servers

We store data on our servers in three ways:

  1. Temporary analysis cache. Listing analysis results are cached for up to 90 days to improve response times for repeated analyses of the same product. Cache entries are keyed by a hash of the listing content (not by user identity) and are version-busted when our scoring or analysis logic changes.
  2. Scan history record. For each analysis, we retain a record containing the listing data that was scored (product title, bullets, A+/description content, image and video counts, ratings, review excerpts, BSR, category, and product specifications as visible on the product page), the resulting scores and findings, and the timestamp. This record is retained indefinitely for: (a) reproducing historical scores when a customer asks why a score changed, (b) longitudinal accuracy research that improves the scoring model, and (c) maintaining the auditability of any score we have ever provided to a customer. Records are not linked to any customer account beyond the license key that requested the analysis.
  3. Aggregate usage counts. Per-license analysis counts (total scans, unique ASINs analyzed, daily counts) for billing and service monitoring.

We do not store personally identifying information about the user of the Extension on our servers. The license key is the only identifier associated with stored records.

What we do not collect

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

RunProof StoreWalk's collection and use of information received from users adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use the data the Extension collects only to provide and improve the listing-analysis features described above. We do not transfer or sell that data except as necessary to provide those features, to comply with applicable law, or to detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security issues. We never use or transfer the data for advertising, and never to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.

A note on review text

Some of the listing data we analyze (review excerpts shown on the product detail page) is shopper-authored content. Although these excerpts are already publicly visible on the product page itself, they may incidentally contain identifying information about the reviewers who wrote them (such as a first name or a city mention). We analyze and store only the public text exactly as shown on the page. We do not collect reviewer identities, profile information, or anything not already visible to any Amazon shopper viewing that product page.

If you are an Amazon reviewer and want a review excerpt removed from our scan history, contact us at the address below.

Third-party sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data, and we never share it with advertisers, data brokers, or other information resellers. We share data only with the service providers needed to deliver the analysis, each acting as a processor limited to the purpose below:

Permissions

No permissions beyond what is required for core functionality are requested.

Data security

All communication between the Extension and our API is encrypted using HTTPS. The license key is stored in Chrome's extension-isolated storage, which is not accessible to websites or other extensions. Our API is hosted on a major cloud provider's edge infrastructure with industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest.

Data retention

To request deletion of records associated with your license key, contact us at the address below.

Your rights

You can stop all data processing at any time by disabling or uninstalling the Extension. To request deletion of usage records or scan history associated with your license key, contact us at the address below.

European Union and United Kingdom users

Customers in the European Union and United Kingdom are subject to additional terms in their customer agreement with RunProof, including GDPR-compliant data processing terms, sub-processor disclosure, data export and deletion rights, and applicable international-transfer safeguards. Contact us at the address below for the applicable agreement before installation.

California privacy rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides additional rights regarding your personal information, including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. RunProof does not sell or share personal information for monetary or other valuable consideration. The Extension does not collect personally identifiable information about the user of the Extension; the only identifier associated with your account is your license key, which is required for service authentication. See “A note on review text” above for our handling of incidentally-collected shopper-authored content. To exercise any CCPA right or to ask about California-specific data practices, contact us at the address below.

Governing law

This privacy policy is governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Customers in the European Union and the United Kingdom retain the mandatory consumer-protection rights provided by their local law.
